PREMIUM EVENING PRIMROSE OIL FOR DOGS AND CATS

Discover ALPHAZOO evening primrose oil for dogs and cats - the food oil for radiant skin and a shiny coat for your four-legged friends! Our evening primrose oil is a cold-pressed barf oil that is ideal for barfing and for your pet's diet.

ALPHAZOO evening primrose oil is a real eye-catcher for dogs and cats. Made from evening primrose, it can support the natural skin and coat care of your pets. Wondering why? Well, the secret lies in the valuable fatty acids that make this golden drop so special.

OMEGA FATTY ACIDS FROM THE PLANT

Linoleic acid, oleic acid and gamma-linolenic acid conjure up radiant skin and a shiny coat. You're probably wondering: What are the benefits of these fatty acids? Let's put on our scientific glasses and delve into the world of chemistry!

Linoleic acid is an essential fatty acid that your dog or cat must ingest through its food as it cannot be produced by the body itself. It can contribute to the care and natural function of the skin and coat. Oleic acid, an unsaturated fatty acid that is also contained in olive oil and rapeseed oil, supports radiant skin and a smooth coat.

And then we have gamma-linolenic acid, which is rarer, but is a benefit for your pet's skin, immune system and coat and offers support here. It rounds off the power trio of fatty acids in ALPHAZOO evening primrose oil!

SHINY COAT

As you can see, our evening primrose oil is a real secret weapon. For a shiny coat, radiant skin and a joyful sense of well-being - always in line with your pet's individual needs, of course.

FOR THE CLIMATE AND THE ENVIRONMENT

Now you're probably wondering why we offer our barf oil in tinplate bottles? The reason is sustainability! Compared to conventional plastic bottles, tinplate bottles are lighter, more recyclable and protect the inside from light and environmental influences thanks to their impermeable surface. This means that the feed oil inside always stays fresh and retains its valuable properties.

At ALPHAZOO, we attach great importance to the sustainability of our products, which is why the tinplate bottle as packaging is a top priority for us. Both the health of your four-legged friend and the protection of our environment are given optimum consideration at ALPHAZOO.

PLANT-BASED LUXURY REINTERPRETED

The evening primrose (Oenothera biennis) is a plant that is not cultivated in large quantities. As it is a biennial plant, it takes longer to reach full maturity and produce seeds from which the oil can be extracted. In addition, harvesting evening primrose seeds is often time-consuming and labor-intensive.

To obtain evening primrose oil, the seeds of the plant must be cold-pressed. This process is less efficient than other oil extraction methods and results in a lower yield of oil per seed.

BARF-LUXURY FOR YOUR DOG OR CAT

Convince yourself of the power of barf oil and its positive support for your pet's skin and coat.

Treat your four-legged friend to an extra portion of coat care from the inside for a radiant shine with cold-pressed evening primrose oil from ALPHAZOO!

What does evening primrose oil taste like?

Evening primrose oil has a mild, slightly nutty flavor. The taste is not too intense and combines well with other ingredients. Dogs and cats can usually accept the taste of evening primrose oil when it is added to their food.

What is the shelf life of evening primrose oil after opening?

Opened evening primrose oil should be consumed within about 8-12 weeks to ensure optimal quality and freshness. To properly store your opened bottle of evening primrose oil and maximize its shelf life, follow these tips:

Store the oil in a cool, dry and dark place: light, heat and moisture can reduce the shelf life and affect the quality. The refrigerator is also a good place to increase shelf life.
Close the bottle tightly to prevent oxidation: Oxygen can cause evening primrose oil to go bad more quickly. It is important to always keep the bottle tightly closed.
However, it is important to note that the oil can become slightly more viscous when refrigerated. It is therefore advisable to bring the oil to room temperature before use.

How do I store the evening primrose oil?

To store evening primrose oil correctly and maintain its shelf life and quality, follow the steps below:

Dark place: Keep the evening primrose oil in a dark place, as light, especially direct sunlight, can affect the quality of the oil.
Cool and dry conditions: Store the oil at room temperature or in a cool place, away from heat sources such as a stove, oven or heater. It is important to keep the oil dry to prevent exposure to moisture.
Tightly closed container: Always close the container of evening primrose oil tightly to prevent the ingress of air, dust, moisture or dirt that could affect the quality and shelf life.
